Happy Birthday!

Good Morning crafty bloggers! Today we have a birthday party for my little nephew and he turns one, I remember my own boys first birthday it was so special I really miss them being little but then again I was so fortunate to become a mom and enjoy all their first moments. I am keeping this post short as I still have gifts to wrap .. This card was made for little James and his theme is Mickey Mouse, I love anything Disney what can I say we are all kids at heart. This stamp is from House of Mouse and I thought it would be perfect for today's special celebration. I colored him with my prismas and used my wink of stella to add some glitter to the top of the cupcake and a bit of glossy accents for the yellow on the candle. I went to Joann's and found the perfect paper for the background, I don't like busy patterns since I like to focus on my main image so I try to go for simple design papers. I also found a cute Mickey button and thought it would fit perfect for this theme, next I stopped at HL and found some red twine and because he is a boy I wanted to add some ribbon without making it to girly, so this was just my last item to add to this greeting card.
